These sarongs have no fringe (fringeless). Each sarong takes weeks to make as each is done completely by hand. Each sarong will have some inconsistencies in shading, and possibly some irregularities. This is normal with Batik. We work with Artists that use special, more expensive paints as these  produce strong, rich and vibrant colors. These sarongs are gorgeous works of art that can also be used as a wall hanging. And we have other sarongs, too, so be sure to check these out as well.

These sarongs have no fringe.

All Batik is made as shown below. The difference is the skill of the artist, quality of the fabric and the paints that are used. My artist that does most of our sarongs is excellent. However, his brother, the artist that does my exclusive custom hand painted is exceptional. His attention to detail, colors and sheer talent. is amazing. And because these are so expensive, we usually only have a small amount in stock. However, you can place a custom order, minimums required. All sarongs are made using 100% first quality rayon as the canvas. These sarongs are works of art that make beautiful paintings. Stretch on a wood frame to hang on the wall.

Each piece is different so colors may vary from what you see in these photos.

Once the artist has drawn our design, wax is applied to each and every line. It can take a week or more before the sarong is ready to be painted. Once the painting is complete, only sun drying makes the colors as strong and vibrant as these. So we are always praying for sunny days. During the rainy season, November-March, production is hit and miss at best so we manufacture primarily April - October.
